The atelier

Four decades
of fine jewellery making.

Master craftsmen, one workshop, and a way of working that has changed very little — because the hand still knows things a machine does not.

The workshop

A workshop,
not a showroom.

Arte Oro provides bespoke personal jewellery services in the manner of artisan jewellers — the way a piece was once made for a single family, by people who knew the wearer.

Our craftsmen bring over forty years of experience in fine jewellery making. Traditional techniques are joined to modern precision: hand work for feel and proportion, technology where it serves accuracy.

What we make →

The making

Eight stages,
one piece.

From the preparation of the metal to the final inspection, every stage is carried out in-house and checked before the piece leaves the bench.

Precious metals — gold, platinum, silver — are prepared and formed into the preliminary shape, by casting, forging or rolling, depending on the design. This foundation determines the durability and precision of everything that follows.

For intricate designs, a wax prototype is hand-carved as an exact replica of the finished piece. It allows adjustments before any metal is committed, and becomes the basis of the mould used in lost-wax casting.

The wax is encased in a heat-resistant mould; the wax is melted away, and the chosen metal is poured into the cavity. Cooling and solidifying, it becomes the raw structure of the piece.

Clasps, chains and multi-part elements are aligned and soldered with flame or laser. This is where the piece must remain both structurally sound and visually continuous.

Each stone is examined for cut, clarity, colour and carat weight before setting — bezel, prong or pavé — so that it sits exactly where the design intended and catches light as it should.

Initials, dates and motifs are cut by hand or laser. This is usually the most personal mark on a piece — and the one that is noticed longest.

High polish, matte, brushed or hammered — the finish is chosen to suit the design and how the piece will be worn. It is what finally brings out the beauty of the materials.

Every piece is inspected: each stone checked for security, each engraving for clarity, the construction for integrity. Final adjustments are made before delivery.

In the world

Commissions, fittings,
and the places between.

A piece is chosen in the workshop and lived with everywhere else. These are some of the places it ends up.

The standard

Made once,
kept for generations.

A bespoke piece is not a product line. It is drawn for one person, made once, and maintained afterwards — which is why the making matters as much as the design.
